Company Profile
Noroc's mission is to deliver broadband Internet to businesses in Central Pennsylvania more cost effectively than traditional telcos. Internet pricing is largely related to geography. Our microwave network enables us to peer with our upstream carriers at locations that deliver the best value for our dollar. We then resell that bandwidth within our coverage area without regard for how far our client is from the telco's central office.
Our company was originally created in 2002 by Ryan Parthemore and Daniel Hoffman who attended Central Dauphin High School together and remain close friends. The name Noroc came about one evening after all of the business plan elements, except the name, were in place. The pair discovered that spelling the name of their beverage backwards yielded something close to Noroc and the rest is history. Today Noroc is one of the communications technology companies owned and managed by the Parthemore family in Harrisburg.
